On Demand Events

The Magic in the Redwoods main event hall has an On Demand Events (ODE’s) area that can seat 80 players at any given time. These are shorter events for players who are not interested in playing in our Main Events at Comp REL. There is no pre-registration available for ODE’s.

How to Register

Purchase ODE vouchers in $5 increments from the Merchandise/ODE area. We recommend purchasing extra vouchers if you expect to play in multiple events all weekend.

When you are ready to play, go to the On Demand Events waiting area and let staff know the type of event you are looking for or sit at a table labeled for the event type you are seeking. Once your table has enough players, call for an organizer and they will collect your vouchers to start your ODE.

Event staff will be closely monitoring tables to ensure that events can begin as soon as 8 players are available.

  • 8-Player Deathrace Swiss Draft

    Entry: 5 Vouchers ($25)
    No supplies/cards needed to participate. Basic Lands will be provided.
    Product: 3x Play Boosters
    Rounds: 3, 50-minute Swiss rounds
    Estimated Event Length: 3 to 5 Hours
    Prizes:

    • Win: 1,200 Prize Tixs

    • Loss: 400 Prize Tixs

    8-Player Mystery Booster Swiss Draft

    Entry: 7 Vouchers ($35)
    No supplies/cards needed to participate. Basic Lands will be provided.
    Product: 3x Mystery Booster Boosters.
    Rounds: 3, 50-minute Swiss rounds.
    Estimated Event Length: 3 to 5 Hours.
    Prizes:

    • Win: 1,200 Prize Tixs.

    • Loss: 400 Prize Tixs.

    8-Player Mystery Booster Single Elimination Draft

    Entry: 7 Vouchers ($35)
    No supplies/cards needed to participate. Basic Lands will be provided.
    Product: 3x Mystery Booster Boosters.
    Rounds: 3, 50-minute Single Elimination rounds.
    Estimated Event Length: 2 to 5 Hours depending on when you are eliminated or win.
    Prizes:

    • 1st: 8,000 Prize Tixs.

    • 2nd: 4,000 Prize Tixs.

    • 3rd-4th: 2,000 Prize Tixs.

    • 5th-8th: 1,000 Prize Tixs.

    8-Player Deathrace Single Elimination Competitive Draft

    Entry: 10 Vouchers ($100) per player 
    No supplies/cards needed to participate. Basic Lands will be provided.
    Product: 3x Deathrace Play Boosters.
    Rounds: 3, 50-minute Single Elimination rounds.
    Estimated Event Length: 2 to 5 Hours depending on when you are eliminated or win.
    Prizes:

    • 1st: Two (2) Deathrace Collector Booster Boxes.

    • 2nd: One (1) Deathrace Collector Booster Box.

  • 8-Player Standard, Pauper, Pioneer, Modern, or Legacy Win-A-Box

    Entry: 5 Vouchers ($25) per player
    Players will need a legal constructed deck for the format they are playing in.
    Rounds: 3, 50-minute Single Elimination rounds.
    Estimated Event Length: 2 to 4 Hours depending on when you are eliminated or win.
    Prizes:

    • Win: 1,200 Prize Tixs

    • Loss: 600 Prize Tixs

    • Undefeated (3-0): One (1) Deathrace Play Booster Box 

  • 4-Player Social Commander Pods

    Entry: 3 Vouchers ($15)
    Players need a Commander legal deck.
    Rounds: 1, 90-minute round.
    Pods: 3 to 4 players per pod.
    Estimated Event Length: 1 to 2 Hours.

    • 1,300 Prize Tixs per player.

    4-Player Competitive Commander Pods

    Entry: 3 Vouchers ($15)
    Players need a Commander legal deck.
    Rounds: 1, 90-minute round.
    Pods: 3 to 4 players per pod.
    Estimated Event Length: 1 to 2 Hours.
    Prizes:

    • Win: 4,000 Prize Tixs

    • Loss: 400 Prize Tixs

  • 2HG 2-Team Commander Pods

    Entry: 3 Vouchers ($15) per player
    Players need a Commander legal deck.
    Rounds: 1, 90-minute round.
    Pods: 2 Teams per pod.
    Estimated Event Length: 1 to 2 Hours.
    Prizes:

    • 1,300 Prize Tixs per player.

    2HG 4-Team Deathrace Swiss Draft

    Entry: 5 Vouchers ($25) per player
    No supplies/cards needed to participate. Basic Lands will be provided.

On Demand Vouchers can be used for On Demand Event entry fees or redeemed at the Prize Wall for 500 Prize Tixs.
